I had another shoot with Russina Vogue a few months back, and the images are now out in the December issue (You don’t have to be in Russia to check it out). We spent the day at the home/ work space of jewelry designer, Sonia Boyajian, who makes some pretty interesting pieces, which you can check out here..

After several years of trying to photograph Madlib, I finally had the chance last Friday.. I had about 10 minutes of light to work with, and the rain had stopped for a minute to let me shoot. The actual assignment was to get shots of both Madlib, and Freddie Gibbs, to announce the new album they have been working on, which you can read about here..
I’ll post up those photos, from what turned into a long night of shooting, but for now, this is an out take of Madlib, that I shot for myself..
I have a couple different images running in this months issue of Elle Magazine, the first is of Justin Kern, and Stephanie Danan, who make up the fashion line Co-Collection. I spent the evening at there house, shooting portraits of the couple, and documenting one of their dinner parties (full gallery of out takes to come later).
For the second shoot, I spent a few hours in the new office of The Hollywood Reporter, photographing Janice Min, the new editor. You can read about her story here..

I had a chance to catch up with the ever busy Dam Funk last month, when he was passing through Oakland for a show.. This is the third time I have photographed him, and as always, he was awesome to work with, and we got some great shots. Here are a few of my favorites..
I was back in LA last month to photograph Nite Jewel, for her new 7″ coming out on Yours Truly, titled “She’s Always Watching You”. Here is a look at the finished album cover, and a few out takes as well..
Back in June, I spent a day wondering around the Patagonia headquarters, in Venture, CA., photographing the unique, and very laid back work environment for a feature in Businessweek. It was everything from bare foot employes, to surf breaks at lunch, and community beach cruisers for running errands. Overall, it seems to make a pretty happy group of employees..
I shot San Francisco based band, Girls, for this months issue of Nylon Magazine, which is out now. Here are a few out takes from a day of shooting around SF..
A while back, I photographed Australian musician Jonti, for Stones Throw Records, and a few of the images are now being used for the album art on his upcoming release “Twirligig”. You can read about him here..
Heres a look at the some of the album art, created by Jeff Jank.
I spent a few hours at Sugar Inc., the company of Lisa Sugar, in downtown San Francisco, for a feature on “millionaire bloggers”. It was pretty impressive to see how something as simple as blogging, can turn into a successful company such as Sugar Inc. Thanks to Kelly, at Marie Claire for assigning me this one, and Tietjen Fischer, of Artists United for the styling..
Here’s the final image used, along with one I like..
Back in May, I was out in El Paso, TX, and Las Cruces, NM working on a shoot for Hemispheres Magazine. I had the opportunity to photograph video game designer, Jason Roher, you can read about him here…. A pretty nice guy, with a very simplistic life style. I had a great time spending the day at his house, photographing him, his family, and his gadgets. Here is how the final piece came out….
